Gaia Vittozzi

Gaia Vittozzi was born in Naples on 21 February 1983.
She grew up in a creative environment, using the knowledge of painting sent by her father and then she takes art studies, graduating at the Liceo Artistico SS. Apostles of Naples.
She attended for three years the school of comic Comix in Naples, experience that still influences her sign.
She continued studies into  the Accademia di Belle Arti of Naples, graduating on April 2008 with honors in Painting.
She lives and works in Naples.

"If you look at my children and once laid your gaze elsewhere, you are still worried, you should know that I have the same symptoms when I' m watching the world.
These stories are recognizable, there is no abstract. It' s all too clear.
But these stories haven' t a connection with reality, and these things happen elsewhere, perhaps in parallel. They are in my mind, they are the result of my observation.
A mere mental development.
Cartoons, grotesque, noir, surreal, but more innocuous than it might be the reality itself.
They are acts of power that still live in their buildings.
Mere mimesis distorted.
The human being as my Wonderland. "
